When workers are able to come together, form a union, and collectively bargain, their wages, benefits, and working conditions improve. For example, a worker covered by a union contract earns 10.2% more in wages on average than a peer with similar education, occupation, and experience in a nonunionized workplace in the same sector.

The Organizing Committee will be having a Community meeting via Zoom, the first Saturday of every month starting at 10:00am. We encourage you to join this meeting if you are able. These meetings are aimed at talking about your work place environment and conditions as well as continuing to grow our Entertainment Arts Industry community.
When we refer to “organizing” workers we are referring to the process of turning a group of individual workers into a cohesive group that can effectively represent their common interests with their employer. This is what people outside the union movement might call "unionizing.
