Introduction to IATSE Local 13 Call Referral and Dispatch Rules class |
|
This class will introduce you to the Call Referral System and the Dispatch Rules. If you have questions about how work is offered through the Call Referral System this class is for you. This class will teach you how to be prepared when the call stewards call you so you can quickly make choices about the work that is available to you.

Arena Rigging Class |
|
This class will be held at Xcel Energy Center on January 18-20, 2023.
You must attend all three days of the class.
The class costs $200 and is limited to the first 12 people signed up.

Crew Hair class |
|
February 20th & 26th, 2023 - Sign up is required.
Cost for class is $100. Limited to 12 folks. Must be available for both days.

Testing Study Prep |
|
In December we are going to start to host Testing Study Prep happy hours from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Each Wednesday we will tackle a different subject on the Qualifications Exams, look for those subjects in December. In January, 2023, it will be Thursdays, starting January 5th and going on through March.

OSHA 10 Distance Learning |
|
Distance learning courses (temporarily allowed by OSHA): These courses are offered in a two-day or three-day format depending on which course participants select. Participants must attend all sessions to receive an OSHA completion card. Classes are limited to a maximum of 20 students.

Advancement Testing Dates |
|
To advance from the stagehand E, D, and C lists, you must meet your days worked requirements (or appeal your position) and you must successfully test out to advance to the higher list.
|
Advancement Testing Study Guides |
|
To advance from the Stagehand E, D, or C lists to a higher list, you must either make your annual days requirements or successfully appeal to the higher list.
And you must pass any or all of the appropriate Stagehand Advancement Tests.
The following are meant as study guides to help you prep for the tests.

OSHA Required Forklift/Boomlift Certifications |
|
Learn about classifications and characteristics of different types of forklifts or different types of elevating work and aerial platforms, fundamentals of safe operation, fall protection, fuel handling tips and battery hazards, etc. Upon completion of the course, a written test will be given and each student will receive a Certificate of Completion. OSHA guidelines require certificates to be renewed every three (3) years. Unfortunately, Local 13 can no longer reimburse $50 of the cost on proof of successful completion. Check here again in the future.

IATSE Training Trust Safety First! Courses |
|
The IATSE TTF Safety First! online courses are live! These interactive and engaging courses for individuals are available to all IATSE workers: both active members and those who may not be members but are working under IATSE agreements. FOUR NEW COURSES have been added.

IA Training Trust Fund Certification Reimbursement |
|
The IATSE Training Trust Fund will reimburse IATSE workers who successfully obtain approved industry certifications and recertifications for the cost of the certification exam. Review courses and other fees incurred during the certification or recertification process are not reimbursable, and they can't reimburse for multiple attempts at passing the exam.

|
LinkedIn Learning is available for free to anyone working under an IATSE Local 13 contract. This $299.88/year benefit is paid for by our employers as part of our union's collective bargaining agreements.
