On Jan. 27, President Trump fired NLRB member Gwynne Wilcox, the first Black woman to serve on the board. This move is illegal and will have immediate consequences for working people.
By leaving only two board members in their posts, the president has effectively shut down the NLRB’s operations, leaving the workers it defends on their own in the face of union-busting and retaliation. And by firing her because he didn’t like her decisions, he damaged the board’s independence. The message is clear to all remaining and future board members: rule the way the president wants, or get fired. The only way to undo this damage to workers’ access to justice and a fair shake is to reinstate Wilcox immediately.
That’s why we need your help. Will you make a call telling your senator and representatives to sign the letter of support to reinstate Gwynne Wilcox to the NLRB? The letter is from members of Congress to President Trump.
