Live Nation to operate new outdoor amphitheater in Shakopee

The largest concert promoter in the world will operate a new outdoor venue taking shape in Shakopee.
Twin Cities-based Swervo Development announced Monday that Live Nation will operate the 19,000-seat amphitheater being built near Canterbury Park as part of a redevelopment district that will include hotels, food and entertainment.
It could take another two years before the venue is open.
