We are looking for a reliable Call Dispatcher to act as a communication point for filling union calls. You will receive requests, respond to messages, and fill union calls.
The ideal candidate must be a clear communicator, be patient, able to remain calm and composed under time constraints. Able to multi-task (focus on multiple goals at once) at times with little supervision. Must be a quick learner and tech savvy. Works well alone and/or in tandem with one or two people. Must be flexible and have tough skin.
Must have the availability to work some evenings and weekends.
Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information
Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
Receive and dispatch calls for work at IATSE Local 13 venues
Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
Use phone and computer to send crews to appropriate locations
Provide workers with information about call times, work requirements and changes
Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant experience
Tech-savvy with knowledge of FileMaker or ability to learn new software
Experience in data entry
Proficient in English (oral and written)
Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities under pressure
Active listener with excellent communication skills
