Entertainment Electrics with Richard Cadena
Local 13 will not be hosting an Entertainment Electrics class but people interested in attending one of these classes may contact the Executive Board, firstname.lastname@example.org, to request assistance with the cost of the class. Here are the currently scheduled Richard Cadena classes.
IATSE Local 13 is hosting another AV Essentials class to train workers for convention breakout room AV work. This class was developed by the IATSE International with InfoComm to meet the needs of the PSAV and Freeman national agreements. It involves a 3 day hands on class and several online classes. To receive the certification workers needed to complete all classes and pass a practical test that involves setting a breakout room with microphones, speakers, a projector, and a laptop with PowerPoint. They are graded on customer service as well as technical aptitude. The workers who pass this class will received the IATSE/InfoComm Recognized Live Event Technician certification.
This class will be held December 5-8, 2017 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. You must attend the full day each day to earn the certification.
