Tell Superintendent McDowell and the School Board to Give Food Service Workers a Fair Contract!
Updated On: Feb 40, 2023
The Hastings School District is pushing the food service staff to take wages below inflation and seek to weaken their health insurance.
Instead of rewarding the understaffed and overworked employees who have proudly served Hastings students for years, the district seeks to divide neighbors by dishing out more significant raises for new employees and handing out small bonuses.
The workers love serving Hasting's students and are ready to make a deal, but they are prepared to strike for a fair contract if the district cannot provide adequate compensation to battle inflation.
Tell the Superintendent and the school board to avoid a strike by giving the Hastings Food Service Staff adequate wages and a fair contract so they can continue serving students!
Once you've sent your emails, you need to spread the word to your friends and family and ask them to support you by taking a few minutes to send an email. Our School Board needs to know that their constituents stand with the workers who feed their kids and want us to get a strong Contract.
