2019 Minnesota State Fair Employment
More IATSE workers are needed to work Soundset Festival, Minnesota State Fair, and various non-fair events throughout the year. The Minnesota State Fair has a yearly employment paperwork procedure that has several steps.
The Minnesota State Fair can only employ people who have completed all steps of the fair’s yearly employment paperwork process. That means that the State Fair’s IATSE call list is shorter than the list for calls at other venues. If you are a new IATSE member and deep on the E list, having your paperwork completed will vault you ahead of persons on the A list that have not completed their paperwork. The sooner you start the process, the sooner you are eligible to work calls on the fairgrounds during this calendar year.
To request paperwork, please email Shannon at msfent@mnstatefair.org with your full name and mailing address. Include “IATSE Local 13” in the subject line. She will mail you a Minnesota State Fair Employment Application. Fill it out and mail it back in as soon as possible to start the paperwork process. Additional steps in the process will include a background check, payroll paperwork and getting a photo ID badge.
If you are unable to send an email, you can call Shannon at 651-288-4395 and leave a message with your full name (including the spelling of your name) and your mailing address.
Sincerely,
Shannon Buchda
